These checks are usually in connection with a Reader’s Digest Sweepstakes notification, Craigslist purchase, or an unsolicited check without explanation. If you have not requested a check to be issued from your Penson account and you receive a check that appears to be issued by Penson please do not attempt to deposit or cash the check as Penson will not honor it.
